Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly referred to as Jessie J, is a popular English musician and singer. Jessie's unique musical style which blends soul, pop, electropop and hip-hop has earned her notoriety from a young age. The awards she has won include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and BBC's Sound of 2011 as well being nominated for numerous awards. Her career began at the young age of 11when she got selected for the show "Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. She later joined the 'National Youth Music Theatre as a performer in the production by the theater "The Late Sleepers," which debuted in 2002. In 2011, she was famous when she released her debut album 'Who You Are'. The album was a huge success from the beginning. Within the first week there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK and 34,000 copies in the US. It was ranked no. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also well-known as a charitable person and she is a part of charities like 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
