Miranda Hart (sometimes referred to as Miranda) is an English comedian, actress and writer. Best known for her performance in the self-titled semi-autobiographical sitcom Miranda which she is also credited with writing she is truly a class apart in the English comedy scenario which is predominantly male-oriented. The show was described as a traditional sitcom for families and was enjoyed by all types of audiences due to its simple, family-friendly message. Along with receiving numerous awards for the comic and awards, the show also was a massive hit. Her family comes from an elite background, Hart comes from an ancestral lineage that includes barons, marquesses, dukes and earls. She however doesn't consider herself upper-class and has absolutely no pretenses regarding her. In her teens she decided to pursue the path of acting as a result of growing up in Hampshire. Confident and talented she embarked on a career in comedy although it would take a few years before she became famous.
